"This is my reincarnation."

From a young age, I've yearned to move. It feels fundamental. I can honestly say I've never had a year in my life when I haven't flown somewhere. For family holidays, work, a new life, and now adventuring with my daughter and husband. Although I've always yearned to travel, if someone wasn't there to come with me, I went anyway.

Sydney at 19. South Africa at 21. London at 22. And on it goes—so many times I really can't count. If I need space, I go. I wish I didn't have to go alone, but staying put isn't in my DNA.

From Passion to Business (And Back Again)

Later in life, I started a travel company when we lived in Singapore. My husband said, "You love travel, why not make it your business?" So we did! And it was exciting.

Moving back to New Zealand in 2018 meant running two companies—one in Singapore and one in NZ. Then COVID hit, and my life felt like it ended. Two companies and no travel. The thing I'd built my livelihood around—gone. It was an incredibly tough time. Normally, we create magic for clients, but now the clients were furious with us, over something we had no control over.

But here's what I learned: COVID took away my love of travel booking, not my love of travel. Especially high-end, experiential travel that transforms you.

What COVID Taught Me About Travel and Life

Three realizations changed everything:

First: COVID didn't kill my passion for travel—it clarified it. Travel for travel's sake is killing the planet. But travel with purpose, intention, and wisdom? That transforms lives.

Second: Women my age need something more than constant requests and Instagram feeds telling them they're not enough. We need space. Space from looking after kids, from caring for ageing parents, space from caring for everyone’s needs.

Third: I've been traveling solo since I was 19. I know what it takes to move through the world alone with confidence, and I know how powerful that journey can be.

Women Get to a Certain Age...

And then they're wise. They know they need space, even time to grow our connection with a close girlfriend. I know that the right journey at the right time can change everything.

Born from Real Experience

The W.I.S.E. method didn't come from a book or a course—it came from decades of actual travel, from building and losing businesses, from understanding what women really need when they're ready to rediscover their adventurous spirit.

W - WISDOM = SMART PREPARATION: Because quality planning creates confident travel

I - INDEPENDENCE = PROGRESSIVE CONFIDENCE BUILDING: Because real skills develop through step-by-step experience

S - SKILLS = PRACTICAL COMPETENCE: Because solo travelers need real-world capabilities

E - EXPERIENCE = REAL-WORLD APPLICATION: Because practice builds lasting confidence

THIS IS MY REINCARNATION

And Maybe It's Time for Yours Too

I lost my travel business to COVID, but I found something more important: clarity about why this work matters.

It's not about seeing every destination or collecting passport stamps. It's about women reclaiming their right to space, adventure, and transformation.

It's about realizing that "I wish I didn't have to go alone" doesn't have to stop you from going.

It's about discovering that solo travel isn't something you endure—it's something that reveals who you really are.

When women feel well, they live—and give—more fully.

This is my reincarnation. What will yours look like?
